What a great idea!

At last it seems that local authorities and governments may be coming to their senses and realising that excessive bureaucracy for the sake of it may not actually be the best way to help teachers and practitioners in their jobs – not to mention being a hindrance to the care and education of the children.

Here’s hoping that this story is more than just political hot air, it would be great to see all councils and local authorities take a proactive approach to reducing paperwork in our schools and nurseries!

The two stories below (one from England and Wales, the other from Scotland) are encouraging news that tools like Learning Journals are now being identified as a real aid to teaching and childcare.
